Undertaking risk assessments is important because you are
able to outline the risks that could seriously harm you and/or others around
you. The reason for risk assessment is so that you can make everyone aware of
what dangers that you may be faced with. It can also stop fatal accidents from
happening. The person who is responsible for the risk assessments are the
health and safety officer or the person who is planning the trip. The legal
requirements to make sure risk assessments are in place is that if you do not
undertake the legal requirements then you could face prosecution. Also you
should make sure that everything is safe and has had a thorough risk assessment
check.
